To help with some Belize vacation ideas, we’ve created this one-week Belize itinerary for you.
Day 1 – Land at the international airport in Belize City. Before checking in at Belize Boutique Resort and Spa, a top-rated luxury resort, enjoy a tour of Altun Ha, an amazing ancient Maya city that was built over 1,000 years ago.
Day 2 – Head to the Belize Baboon Sanctuary. During this nature tour, your guide will point out important flora and fauna of Belize and will get you up close to Howler Monkeys in the wild. You will learn why they are one of the ten loudest animals on Earth.
Day 3 – Head into the Cayo District to plumb the depths of the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave, the site of human sacrifices performed by ancient Maya priests.
Day 4 – Time to head to the Mayan Ruins! Discover Lamanai Mayan Ruin on your personal “Indiana Jones” like trip along the river to Lamanai. With plenty of chances to hear or see howler monkeys, spider monkeys, crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife along the river, this trip is perfect for nature lovers. Hike and explore the mysticism of the ancient site. Explore Altun Ha Maya Ruin, the most visited Maya Ruin in the country of Belize and a few miles from Belzie Boutique Resort and Spa.
Day 5 – A day out on the water, this time to go snorkeling and scuba diving on the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. This natural “cut’ in the reef is used as a kind of highway by marine life to transit from one side of the reef to the other. Enjoy some excellent seafood and wander along one of the island’s fabulous beaches.
Day 6 – Enjoy a relaxing spa day with a custom-made mud massage followed by cocktails and a long soak in a hot tub. All Belize vacations should definitely include a “me” day to relax and unwind before heading back to civilization!
Day 7 – With tears in your eyes, it’s time to head off to the airport and back to your regular life. But be sure to include enough time for a stopover at the Belize Zoo, an animal rescue and rehabilitation center with over 100 indigenous bird and animal species.
During your perfect week in Belize, be sure to taste the succulent Belizean meals and cocktails at Belize Boutique Resort and Spa.
